Gran Cabernet Sauvignon

Tasting Note

SINGLE VINEYARD

Intense garnet red color with vivid sparkles. Aromas of black fruits, pepper and cassis stand out on the nose. Notes of coffee, snuff and subtle vanilla realize their aging in new French oak barrels. In the mouth shows great volume and length with a velvety and elegant ending.

» Vineyards location: Tupungato, Valle de Uco, Mendoza, Argentina.

» Altitude: 1,100 m.a.s.l. at the Andes Mountains.

» Tipo de suelo: Franco

» Soil type: Loam textured soil.

» Harvest: Hand harvest on April, in 17 kg plastic boxes. Manual selection of bunches at the vineyard and grapes at the winery.

» Maceration: Pre-fermentative maceration in cold; 10% of the juice was eliminated to extract the most of its fruity notes and achieve its singular color.

» Fermentation: At 26º / 27º C with selected yeasts.

» Aging: 12 months in new French oak barrels.

» Winemaker: Lic. Romina Carparelli.

» Branding: Shocking colorful arts typical of Buenos Aires on the top of the bottle, with details inspired in patriotic symbols.

WINEMAKER

Romina Carparelli

She holds a degrwinemakers2ee in Winemaking and graduated with honors (best average score) in 2005 from Facultad de Enología y Agroindustria, Universidad Juan Agustín Maza (School of Winemaking and Agroindustry, Juan Agustín Maza University). In 2005, she worked as an Analyst in Bodega Masi Tupungato (Valle de Uco, Mendoza) and the following year she was granted a university scholarship to study the process of wine-making in Spain. During her days in the Old Continent, she worked as Winemaker’s Assistant in Bodega y Viñedos Illana (Ribera del Júcar, La Mancha). Upon her return to the country, she became Bodega Margot’s Winemaker, where she currently leads the process of the wine and sparkling wine production, in addition to running the Commercial department. This young promise of the winemaking industry works in conjunction with a deluxe team of consultants integrated by Agricultural Engineer Marcelo Casazza, Lic. Miguel Navarro and world-renowned Paul Hobbs in the production of high-end wines, from their almost 30 ha of vineyards located in Tupungato at 1,050 m.a.s.l. Day after day, these wines enter into new markets and gain prestige thanks to the successive scores and medals obtained. Since 2005, the wines produced by Bodega Margot are successfully exported to the United States, Mexico, China, and Japan. In addition, in 2012 it started the marketing process in Argentina with excellent results.
